Aroma: Warm und feurig, ein schwelender Torf kiln, einige Citrusnoten nach dem Rauch.
Geschmack: Ölig, verbranntes Toffee, saftige Gerste und reicher Rorfrauch.
Fazit: Lebhaft, torfig und voller Geschmack.

Eine zweite Meinung: Aroma: Reiches Torf, kandierte Orangenschalen und eine leichte Brise von Meeresluft.
Geschmack: Frische Orangen und honiglastige Gerstennoten, von Torfrauch umgeben. Recht ölig. Ein Hauch von krümeligem, salzigem seaside fudge glüht im Zentrum.
Im Nachklang halten sich süßer Apfel und leichter Rauch im langen finish.

Ausbau: A mix of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry hogsheads. Sagen die Auguren.

Besonderheit: Ein Aufkleber verrät "Mit Farbstoff", die 46% deuten auf non chill-filtered hin, als small batch release automatisch eine limited edition.
Was ist drin? Ein single malt, soviel steht fest. Ein batch 1, das es auch gegeben haben soll, soll ein blended malt gewesen sein. Daher wird diese Fassung auch als batch 2 bezeichnet.

Subjektiv, nach der tasting note, ohne probiert zu haben lautet der Tip Laphroaig, auch wenn die Auguren und die Wahrscheinlichkeit auf Caol Ila deuten.
