Besonderheit: Herausgekommen 2016 und gemacht von der in Elgin ansässigen Moray Distillery Ltd. von Jill Brown - nicht zu verwechseln mit der Glen Moray malt distillery. Jill Brown ist auch die Gründerin der Berry Good Liqueur Reihe.
Der Avva Scottish Gin entsteht aus einer Kombination klassischer Gin botanicals sowie botanicals die in der Speyside und den Highlands gefunden werden. Darunter sind Löwenzahn, Minze, Rotklee, Nesseln und Vogelbeeren.
Die still "a traditional 250 ltr. copper still making our micro-distillery one of the smallest in the region" mit der der Avva gemacht wird trägt den Namen Jessie-Jean oder J-J.
"Within the craft sector, the majority of distillers have named their still and Moray Distillery Ltd are no exception. Our little still has been christened after the owner's grandmothers, Jessie-Jean, J-J (Jessie Sutherland Brown and Jean Bannerman Waters).
Although small, J-J slowly works her magic with the elements of copper and specially selected botanicals to carefully and lovingly produce the base spirit from which we collect the run known as the 'heart' to make Avva Scottish Gin."
