Matured in sherry casks - und nein, was genau eine batch strength ist, ist uns auch unklar. Jedes vatting von mehreren Fässern ergibt ein batch, eine Charge und die hat ohne Verdünnung mit Wasser jeweils eine bestimmte Stärke.

Finally, Batch Strength 006 is bottled un-chillfiltered at high strength. A magnificent Speyside Single Malt for the sherry wood connoisseur."
Tamdhu distillery wurde im Jahr 2011 von Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd. gekauft, denen auch schon Glengoyne gehört. Da darf man auf weitere Entwicklungen gespannt sein.
Das sind die Entwicklungen... der neue Tamdhu 10 kam im März 2013 heraus.
"In 1897, Tamdhu Distillery was born of its founders’ ‘Can-Dhu-Spirit’, and 200 years of Scottish industry. Today, Tamdhu 10 Year Old embodies the same intrepid approach. Matured exclusively in sherry oak casks, we ensure every drop is as magnificent now as it was then."
Der 10 ist inzwischen von einem 12 jährigen abgelöst worden.
Eine weitere Entwicklung ist, daß es Ian MacLeod gelungen ist, die Reste der Rosebank distillery bei Falkirk und die Markenrechte am Namen Rosebank zu erwerben und die Wiedereröffnung plant. Das hättee 2020 passieren können, dürfte aber dank Corona 2021 werden. Aber dieses Jahr, also 2022...
