Charakteristik:
bottlers note: Aroma: Voll mit intensiven Holzgewürzen und exotischen Schattierungen von Vanille, bereichert der einjährige spirit die reiflich fruchtigen malt whiskies im Kern der Stranger & Stranger Limited Edition weiter. Es finden sich Aromen und Geschmacksrichtungen in diesem spirit, die an Vanille Pudding und dunkle Zuckersorten, frischen Apfel und einen ansprechend kräutrigen Charakter erinnern.

Geschmack: Am Gaumen hat er eine Süße, die immer wieder zurück zum Glas ruft.

Stranger & Stranger ist eine Kombination von Scotch malt whisky mit wheat & barley spirit, also einem grain whisky aus Weizen und Gerste. Eine limited edition von 4802 standard bottles worldwide.

„Some may call it sacrilege...After a decade of collaborating with the design company Stranger & Stranger, we chose to name a Limited Edition in their honour.
When it came to the design of the label, we gave them free reign to create. All we told them was that we were working on a recipe incorporating some amazing one-year-old grain spirit we had used to season some experimental American oak barrels. Dubbed ‘sacrificial spirit’, Stranger & Stranger brought this concept to life.

We have combined Scotch malt Whisky with Wheat & Barley Spirit
Some may call it sacrilege, but we thought the addition of one year old ‘sacrificial spirit’ would be the perfect component to use in our limited edition blend to celebrate ten years of collaboration with our good friends at the package design company Stranger & Stranger. In the 30 plus design projects we’ve worked on together, we typically provide a core idea and direction, but for this special project, we let Stranger & Stranger design what they liked.
All we told Stranger & Stranger was that we were working on a recipe incorporating some amazing one year old grain spirit we had used to season some experimental American oak barrels. We had been calling this one year old ‘sacrificial spirit’ because we didn’t know what it would be like after a year in these crazy new barrels. Turned out, it was amazing, filled with intense wood spice and exotic shades of vanilla character.“
