Geschmack und finish: Leicht, süß, fruchtiger Geschmack. Balanciert und geschmeidig. Der grain kommt ganz sanft hervor und endet mit einem leichten Prickeln von Honig und Citrusfrucht. Das finish ist sauber.
The Wild Geese Classic Blend Irish Whiskey is ideal for a wide range of cocktails or just on it's own.

Eine zweite Meinung: Aroma: Frisch und knackig mit trockenen Gewürzen und eichenlastiger Hitze, ein wenig getreidige Süße.
Geschmack: Süß mit Frischen, eichiger Trockenheit und Zesten. Etwas Akazienhonig.
Im finish knackig und eichenlastig.

Ausbau: Bourbon Casks

Besonderheit: "Die Wildgänse kommen!" Nein, keine Angst, nicht Richard Burton, Roger More, Hardy Krüger und Ed Harris und wer da sonst noch mitgepielt hat.
Registriert als Marke der Avalon Group, die wiederum der britischen Protégé International Ltd zu gehören scheint, gibt es seit 2003 diese irische whiskey Marke.
Der Name ist clever gewählt, spielt mit irischer Tragik, Tradition und Patriotismus.
"The "Wild Geese" was the name given to the Irish who served in various European armies during the 17th century and in particular the 18th century.   William of Orange's war in Ireland ended with the signing of the Treaty of Limerick in 1691. The terms of this treaty allowed the Jacobite Officers who did not wish to serve under William the Usurper to flee to France in order to fight for the deposed James II. During the following year, 30,000 Irishmen left their country and everything it represented.  With the help of the French nobility, they chose to follow their legitimate sovereign into exile. It was this unwavering loyalty and devotion to the European monarchs that led to their being called "na Geanna Fiaine" or "the Wild Geese". They proved their devotion on many occasions throughout history and achieved fame and honour far beyond the name."
Um noch eins drauf zu setzen, wird die Marke in den USA mit anderen labeln als "The Wild Geese Irish Soldiers & Heroes" vermarktet. "With each new generation there is a new legacy, raise your glass, remember them".
